Flying Start

Our main aim in the setting is to provide a safe, stimulating environment that will contribute to the all-round development of every child attending.

We constantly strive to ensure that each child has the opportunity to learn and gain confidence through both structured and spontaneous play.

Admission criteria

To be eligible for admission into Flying Start your family must live within a specific area of Caia Park Wrexham as outlined by the Welsh Assembly Government.

Your child must be age 2 to 3 years and entry to a childcare setting is the term following their 2nd birthday.

An admissions form must be completed and subject to meeting the required criteria, acceptance for approval will be made by the Flying Start Committee within the Education Department.

Your Health Visitor will be able to help you with the forms and inform you if you are eligible for this provision.

Monday to Friday - 12.45 to 3.15pm
42 weeks per year

Parent and Toddler group

Our main aim for the children is, as with Flying Start, to provide a safe, stimulating environment that will contribute to the all-round development of every child. Parents and carers also benefit from gaining mutual support and friendship.

We can directly support families with a number of issues which include relationship difficulties, domestic abuse, dept, housing, health, and child development or refer to appropriate agencies if required.

Admission

This service is open access and families are welcome to attend whenever they wish.

Other activities

A crèche is available on a Friday mornings 9.30 to 11.30 which caters for parents/carers within the Flying Start initiative to attend training and confidence building courses.
