These are the latest job vacancies at the Venture

The Second Nature Local Environment Quality project is to be run by the Venture and community partners with funds from the Welsh Assembly Government. It aims to bring about sustainable improvement of local environmental quality within Caia Park through true community engagement, involvement and education, involving the full spectrum of ages in lasting work in the community.

We are looking to put together a team of people who can ‘make it happen’. We can offer flexible, part-time working, with evening and weekend working expected for each post. We are more interested in skills and abilities than in formal qualifications, although these would also be most welcome.

Project Coordinator: up to approx. 30 hours per week at £20,300 to £20,900 pro rata. To take the lead on the project, working with partners to achieve the project aims and engaging the local community, schools, groups and individuals of all ages in the work.

S/he should have a high level of communication and relationship building skills, with the confidence and ability to engage people within the community; be enterprising and practical; be able to inspire and lead a diverse team; to motivate community members; solve problems; make presentations; produce reports and seek out funding for future project continuation

Project workers: two workers, from 10-20 hours each per week at £7.50 to £8.60 per hour.
